SAJP (The Stockholm Association for Japan Promotion) is a non-profit association based in Stockholm, dedicated to promoting knowledge of Japan, its language, culture, and society.
SAJP was originally established to organize the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) in Stockholm, and has since expanded its activities to include educational and cultural events, such as the annual Japanese Language Speech Contest.
Our Main Activities
Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT : 日本語能力試験)
SAJP has been responsible for the official administration of the JLPT in stockholmsince July 2017.
The JLPT is an internationally recognized test of Japanese language proficiency for non-native speakers.

Japanese Language Speech Contest (日本語弁論大会)
The Japanese Language Speech Contest has been held annually in Stockholm since 2015.
It has been organized through cooperation between the Embassy of Japan in Sweden and related organizations.
From 2026, SAJP has taken on a leading role in organizing the contest.

Cultural & Educational Events
SAJP also aims to arrange cultural activities such as musical and theatrical performances, and in the future also workshops of various kinds with a connection to Japan, its language and culture.
