With Regards to JLPT 2026 Applications
Now the first 190 applicants have secured their places with payment.
All 190 spots for the JLPT in Stockholm were filled within the first two days of registration.
We received a total of 254 applications in the one week that the forms were open. If the forms had remained open longer, there may have been even more interest.
We would like to apologize to those who could not get a testing spot due to practical limitations in staffing and venue size.
If you would like to take the test this year, other testing sites may be a good alternative, such as those in Finland, Norway, Denmark, or Germany. Most of those testing sites offer the JLPT in December this year.
If you wish to take the JLPT in Stockholm, the next opportunity will be in July 2027.
We strongly recommend applying as soon as registration opens, as places tend to fill up very quickly.
The application process
The application process is as follows.
- Applicants must complete the application form (Google Form) online.
- The required photo must be sent separately by email promptly in order to complete the application. The email subject should be: “Photo: JLPT N#, First Name Last Name”. Please refer to the information under “Photo” for details about the photo requirements.
If the submitted photo does not meet the requirements, you must send a new acceptable photo promptly, or you will lose your seat. - Once the submitted photo has been checked, bank payment information will be sent by email.
- Payment must be completed within four days in order to secure a seat.
- If payment is not completed within four days, the next person on the waiting list will be contacted.
At the beginning of the application period, many people may submit their applications at the same time. As a result, it may take some time to check photos and send bank payment information.
Applicants who submit the form after capacity has been reached will be placed on a waiting list. If you have not received any bank payment information within a reasonable period after submitting your application and photo, please understand that you are on the waiting list. (No confirmation email will be sent regarding the waiting list.)
